Analyze company financial information and prepare balance sheets reflecting current and long term assets and liabilities, annual profit and loss statements, fund flow and cash flow statements, and other consolidated accounting reports. Analyze company operations, costs, revenues, and market trends and project future revenues and expenditures using statistical procedures including correlation and regression analysis. Analyze accounting and financial data and provide information to construct annual budgets with a view to reducing costs and increasing profits. Track deviations from the budget and recommend midcourse corrections. Apprise management of company financial health, including any cash flow problems. Establish, implement, and modify accounting systems as needed for all company locations. Prepare annual and quarterly federal and state tax returns. Assist outside auditors in the preparation of audited tax returns.
The position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration with coursework in Accounting plus 2 years of experience in the job offered or a related accounting or finance position. It requires skills and knowledge in Prestige Software for Financial Accounting Package, Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook), and Microsoft Office 365. It involves little travel – 24% of work time, several days but less than 60 days per year.
